I spent the night
like a fly with nowhere to land
A turncoat
kept afloat thanks to the motion
of your sacred and elusive hands

Your loose-leaf mind speaks like a fight
Adorable and deplorable little sprite
So heavy
so heavy and light

Someone told me that you're the Queen of unbearable pauses
and I watched you
like a movie
made up of action scenes in japanese
and it was lovely

But my inner innocent
is so close to death
And my inner sinner stands
holding his breath with his head in his hands

I spent the night
tongue-tied and toxic
I reread what you said
and over-analysed every word and verb and term and found it to be sadly innocent

What if someone told you that I'm the King of unnatural causes
would you look over me
like a novel
made up of messy rows of poser's prose and see
something like poetry?
